snowed in

It really did snow an assload.
And I hate snow.
The roads are relatively clear(who knew Lauderdale County had a snow plow?!)
but we stayed holed up in the house anyway :)

We've done a whole lot of nothing.
Brandy's gamed, I've puttered around PS,
the kids have played.

The DSA Scrap Off is over.
My score tanked last week. BAD.
But I expected it, I really did hate my LO.
I didn't want to be doing it...I just threw some stuff on the
page and smooshed it into the corner.

But, I really LOVE my LO this week.
ALOT.
Even if no one else does :P
Maybe it'll boost my score back up from
the dark hole it fell in to.
If not, oh well :)

Barfy snow & Ice

For days they've been talking about this god awful storm heading our way.
6-10 inches of snow, 1-2 inches of ice, wind chills in the neighborhood of -7
not my kind of weather at all.
I don't do cold. I sure as hell don't do snow.
Much to my surprise, we are getting ice and snow.
Not 6-10 inches by any means.....but it's still coming down, and the
day is relatively young.
Right now I'd say
we have a good 2ish inches.
And if I have to be snowed in with someone, I can't
imagine better company than Brandy and the kids :)

I totally braved the wicked elements to get today's photo.
It was cold, my shoes were soaked through in seconds,
my pants got wet, and I came thisclose to busting my ass.
Plus, it's not that fluffy white snow.  These are frickin
snow bb's!

I'm so behind on my uploading and junk.....
Geez,  take a week or so to do nothing but read and
I end up swamped.
Story of my life.

Still got my P365 photo for today to take-bleh.
Have I mentioned I hate P365?
Ooooh, and Amanda and I are doing adsr again this year!
We're team #36!

So, with that I am off to round up the kids for bed, get their clothes laid out for
school tomorrow, a load of laundry in the washer, take my
P365 photo, and get a LO or two done.

rainy rainy days

I so love a good thunderstorm.

It started raining about 3:30 this morning.
The thunder woke me up, well, more like the thunder woke EE up who woke me up.
Temps in the 60's and rain, pretty good week :)

I've still got to get my week 3 LO for
the DSA Scrap Off together.
I haven't even unzipped the stuff yet *sigh*
I've managed to get behind in my CT stuff....again.
And I realized I had a couple LO's that should have been uploaded weeks
ago that I never did.
So, I made myself a list for this week, on my yahoo home page since
I'm there a gajillion times a day.
I've got my CT's listed, what LO's I need to upload and when,
and how many LO's I still need to do.
We'll see how that works :P

Still chugging along with P365.
I'm taking my photos every day, I just don't get them
off the camera every day.
Meh. Whatever.

the mascara monologues

It's the 15th day of January....I already have 9 tubes of mascara.
I need the stuff.
I don't have a problem.
I can quit buying whenever I want to.......
ooooh, is that one I don't have??

Go feets go!

The kids got their report cards today.
They were good, so we had Dominos for supper tonight.
Gabe's was good, we just need to work on tying shoes, he got a 'N' for it.
It upset him, but after I told him it was my fault he perked right up.
Even Alee was all "Your shoes don't even have shoestrings Gabe! How do you tie
something without strings?"
It is my fault...we've always bought him the shoes
with the little elastic thingies because
he's always wanted to do it himself
and not wait on anyone to tie them.
He gets rather bitchy with you if you try to help him do something.

Alee had all A's and B's.
I kinda fussed at her a little.
There was no reason for the B in reading.
The kid is mine, reading *should* be her strongest subject.
She said she gets bored in reading and just kinda zones out.
Looks like it's time to see what we can do about that one.
Her other B was in math, a 94.
Meh. I hated math, she hates math.
No biggie.

Ugh, we had to go to WalMart, too.
That place is hell.
Full of stupid people.
I hate going.
But, the food was getting a little on the low side, and tomorrow is Gabe's day to bring snacks, so it was time to brave the stupidity factor.
I hate WalMart. Did I mention that?
Cause I do. Srsly.
I did pick up another tube of mascara.
Cause, you know, the drawer full I have
just isn't enough.
I wonder if there's a Mascara Addicts group somewhere.......

still chugging along

So I'm still quitting P365 every day.
Every.Single.Day.
And then I get up and take my photo.
I've come to the conclusion that I just like to complain. :P
Not constantly, and not about everything, just certain things.
ADSR, my layouts, P365.....
things that make me step out of my little comfort zone.

I did take my photo yesterday, I just didn't dump it off the camera.
I've had the most awesome headache for about a week
now, and moving to get the camera and
card reader was more than I
felt like doing.
So today is a double post to catch up ;)

Day 11: Max ignores me, too.

Day 12: The Amazing Magnetic Acrobats
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The results of the first round of DSA Scrap Off 2010
was posted today.
I was very surprised to see I was in the 9pt list.
I didn't expect that.
Of course, it'll be a different story next week....I haven't
even unzipped the kits for this weeks challenge
yet......I don't feel like doing it :P

I'm almost done with Harry Potter.
I finished The Order of the Phoenix and The Half Blood Prince
over the weekend.
Um, I didn't like The Half Blood Prince.
I cried.
Like a baby.
Don't get me wrong, I shed a tear or two while
reading The Order of the Phoenix.
I was sad when Sirius kicked the bucket.
But I bawled like a baby when Snape offed Dumbledore.
I didn't like that at all.

I'm a few chapters into the Deathly Hollows now.
I've been told it's the one that "ties it all together and all the
pieces fall into place"......
(This from Candy, to whom HP is what TW is to me)

I dunno....I was so bummed over Dumbledore I didn't even want to finish them.

But I will.
I can't say no to a good book.....even one that makes me cry.

The kids went back to school today.
THANK GOD.
They'd been out since Tuesday.
And it was quickly becoming a matter of who was going
to be killed first-them or me.
Good thing they went back. :D

P365: Day 8: A date with Pot Potty

For all of you that don't speak 15 month old Gabe-ese,
that's Harry Potter.

I like the movies good enough.
I'm pretty sure we've watched them all except the most recent.
A few more so than others.

When Gabe was little, he loved his Pot Potty movies.
We watched them all the time.
All.The.Time.
Our day looked like this:
Pot Potty. Jurassic Park. Pot Potty. Toy Story. Pot Potty. Nemo. Pot Potty.
Always with the Pot Potty.
Especially The Prisoner of Azkaban-that was his favorite.
I heard that damn talking head on the bus in my sleep.
When we moved, I told him we lost it.
We haven't watched it since.
That was 4 years ago.

Never read the books, though.
It was always one of those things I said I was going to do,
but never really got around to.....I always found another
book to pick up and read instead.
But I finally caved....um, 2 weeks or so ago. Maybe a bit longer.
I've been working my way through the books, and right now
I'm about 3/4 of the way through The Order of the Phoenix.

I'm really enjoying them!
It's a shame I held out so long and didn't
read them sooner like everyone was trying
to get me to!

So, today's photo is my date for the night.
I'll probably finish it up tonight and start the next tomorrow :)

P365: Day 7

Today's photo--my baby

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Love my Vaio. Bestest little laptop in the world, yes it is!

There was no school today.
Apparently a slight dusting of snow is too much.
It melted really quick too.
And there's no school tomorrow.
Still trying to figure that one out.

Colder than a witch's titty......

Happy Hump Day!
It's a frigidly cold day here in my little corner of the south.
I hate it.  I need to be warm.
I need heat and humidity.
I need it to be summer.
Or I need to live somewhere tropical.
Yes, I can see it now......a nice beach with a beautiful shot of endless ocean.....
sand, trees, heat, isolation.
I dream big :P

It's Wednesday, and that means new goodies to scrap with from Polka Dot Plum!

Feast your eyes on this gorgeousness released today from Sir Scrapalot!

Bah.

Is it only day 6?  I was hoping I'd wake up and be like
day 365 or something.......

Anywho, on with today's photo:

You need the right socks to rule the world :P

Yes, those are Cullen Crest socks.  And yes, that is a Jake pillow.
My husband feeds my addiction quite well.
Any time he goes to Hastings he heads to their Twilight section
and picks up anything I don't have.
He loves me like that :D

Project 365: Day 5

I'm running out of willing victims.
Plus, I've lost enthusiasm for this.

"Wait a minute, Momma!"

The kids went back to school today....THANK GOD!
They were happy to go, I was happy they were going, even E was glad.
I think we were all just sick of each other :P
It almost made me dread summer break, but I'll be able to
throw them out into the yard all day long
when it's summer.  It's
just too freaking cold for that now!
The kids are praying for snow.
We've got a Winter Storm Watch from tomorrow evening through Thursday.
2-4 inches of snow, maybe.
Do you know what kind of crazy state that's going to
put the county in? Crazies everywhere!
Have I mentioned I hate snow? And cold?

Ooh, did I tell you I'm CTing for Sir Scrapalot now?  I didn't?
Well, guess what?  I'm CTing for Sir Scraplot now :P

Day 4

I quit 3 times today.
I hate this.

I informed Alee she was my victim today.
We had whining, pouting, and then a serious fit of the giggles.

The Get A Long Gang

Does anyone remember this show?
I was like 4 when it first came on.
Like all good kids, I had to have the toys.  And like good parents,
mine indulged me.
I had the whole crew; Portia, Woolma, Montgomery, Bingo, Zipper.
But I loved none the way I love Dotty Dog
(who, for some reason, I always called Diddy Dog).

It was a tiny little toy.  She went everywhere with me, for years.
Countless hours were spent looking for her
by my whole family; I lost her daily.

I eventually outgrew The Get A Long Gang.
But Daddy kept Diddy.
All those years, and he kept her.
He had a little case thing for her, and kept it on his dresser.
When Dad died and we cleaned out the house, I reclaimed her.
She now lives in her little case on my dresser, very much looking like the
26 year old toy she is.
The paint is fading, completely gone in some places, the beautiful red D gone.
But she's still my Diddy.

A sad, sad day

Today the official announcement came from the Boss Lady;
Pixel Gypsy Designs is closing it's doors at the end of February.
I've been heartbroken since Sherrie and Scott broke the news
to us on Tuesday, and today's no different.

Beginning February 15th we will be having a Farewell Sale.
All products in the store will be 50% off through the end of the month.
All sales are final, and please download your purchases immediately, as the store will be closed as of March 1st and account access will no longer be available.

Also, if you have any PGD discount coupons, gift codes or Gypsy Points
from participating in challenges, please redeem them. They will no longer be effective
as of March 1st, 2010.

It is a sad situation, and it has totally left a bad
taste in my mouth towards the general scrapping community.
To not see what a wonderful community PGD is,
to not see the quality products that the top notch designers put out weekly, with the
downloads that never had limits or even expired......
well, honestly, it just showed me how
stupid and cliquey the general population is.

But what's done is done.
Everyone will be moving forward.
I'll still be hanging with my girls, and following my designers
to what ever lucky store they decide to sell at.
(you'll never get rid of me bwahahahahahaha)

Yah, technically it's the 3rd, I'm just late blogging my 365 photo :P
We headed to Jackson today.  Hit Best Buy, Books-a-Million(I really
hate the layout of that place!) and had some
yummy Sonic(you can never eat enough chili cheese tots!)
Today I've quit Project 365 at least 4 times.
And restarted it.
It's going to be a very long year,
and I honestly don't see myself making it all the way through.

Today's photo, my recent reading material.

(with Sherrie's Vintage Lomo Action--all you stupid people will never know how good these actions are)

What you can't see is my Twilight books in the back--they're
taller so they get to be in the back :P

Have I mentioned school starts back on Tuesday?
I can not wait.  The kids can't wait.
They're tired of me, of each other, everything.
And Alee's had an allergic reaction
to something, she's broke out all over her face, neck, arms and hands.
She got some perfume, lotion, and makeup for Christmas,
so we're thinking it's one of those things.
We're going to let it clear up and then
eliminate them one by one till we find out whatever
it is.

Anywho, that's if for the night, I have some reading to do :D

Out with old!

Happy New Year!!
Out with the old, in with the new and all that jazz!
We hung around and just chilled all day yesterday, loads of goodies
to snack on all day and night.  The kids played, fought--it
was the usual thing here pretty much!
We headed out right after midnight to let
the kids do some sparklers--they
were HUGE! Like bigger than E huge.  Of course, it was windy
as all get out and colder than a witch's titty.

I'm not big on resolutions-I suck at keeping them.
This year I'm just aiming to procrastinate less and try to reign my temper in a bit.
We'll see how it goes. ;)

Even though I failed miserably at it last year,
I'm giving Project 365 a go again this year.
I just got so burnt out last year I didn't even want to touch
my camera anymore.
We'll see how this year goes I guess.  I'm not going to force
myself into doing it everyday if I don't feel like it.
Hmmm....maybe I should rename mine to
Project Whenever I feel like it :P

 Day 1: E's Dinosaurs

Oh Christmas.....I didn't get around to doing a Christmas post.
The kids got way more than they needed, everything they wanted, and then some.
All in all, it was a nice holiday, once you factored out the Jessica drama....and
there's always Jessica drama :/
