i think it's time to face the fact regular blogging just aint my thang.

i try to be a good blogger, but it gets bumped way

down my list of things to accomplish daily.

meh.

christmas was really good round here.

we spent christmas eve at mamaw's and had such a good time.

everyone was in such a great mood,

a good time was had by all :)

my god is it only wednesday?

i swear this has been the longest week evah.

so ready for the weekend!

still nothing going on around here....

the older demons

go to school every day and then

i'm here with the tiny

demon until they get home.

she had a birthday party yesterday and 

didn't invite me.

she invited the one eared giraffe but not me.

evil child.

i've been totally hung up on

this vegetable deal lately.

broccoli, onion, bell pepper,

squash, potato and mushrooms all cut 

up(with a stick of butter)

and seasoned with tony chachere's creole seasoning.

wrap it up in some aluminum foil, pop it on the grill

and enjoy.

it is soooo good.

srsly good. 

the cold from hell is still hanging around.
i've had the thing since the beginning of august.
it just wont go away.
and i'm miserable.


my damn stickers aren't here yet.
brandy says when I cussed them
they probably moved
my name down to the bottom of the list.

there's just no getting around it.

i always have the best of intentions.

i was going to blog every day.

SO not going to happen.

i've decided the best i can

do is to make an honest effort to blog a 

couple times a week.

that's as good as it's gonna get :p

we had a pretty laid back weekend.

took the kids to mcdonalds to

eat friday....i had fries. looooove the fries.

i also put on 3 pounds eating said fries, but oh well!

the kids also ended up getting a "treat".

yes, my kids are spoiled beyond reason, but it's

honestly not our fault.

it's all my family.

so, brandy and i really don't make a habit

of getting them toys and things

unless it's a birthday or christmas.

but every once in a while

we do pick them up something.

gabe got a ps3 game(MGS 4---he's in love)

and the girls got the cutest little 

stuffed dolls.

              are they not the cutest things ever? e got

frankie stein(on the left) and alee

got clawdeen wolf. cute, right?

there's a whole set of them.... monster high 

and i imagine they're on the christmas

lists this year for the girls.

saturday brandy worked. 

when he got home we hung in the yard....

i laid out making the most of what's

left of the heat, we grilled, and 

made a bonfire.

i shit myself and died.

it was windy, cloudy and cool, but

the sunset was to die for

sunday we went to mamaw's for lunch.
it was horridly cold....we were
wrapped up in blankets 
sitting on the carport.
my sister was a no show, of course.
i mean, at least
make up a bullshit excuse about not
coming instead of telling
everyone you're on your
way and then just not show up.

ooooh, botct is right around the corner!
we managed to pull enough
of the dysfunctional gypsies together to get a team!
i bitch and moan about these 
things, i know.
but i really do enjoy doing them.
deep down.
way deep.


and since it's been
a while since i blogged,

You knew eventually I was going to miss a day, right?

At least it was only one and not months of them :p 

 

I just really had nothing yesterday.

I spent most of it reading and

playing with the kids.

They destroyed a huge teddy bear, gutted it.

and then they all got in it and wore

 it like a costume,

Funniest thing ever.

It's so hot.  Close to 100 every day.

But there's a cold front coming

through over the weekend

and I'll be damn if the highs aren't 70's!

If you know me 

then you know I love my heat and sun,

but I'm so looking forward

to snuggling up in my hoodie!!

Nothing much else going on...laundry to do

and other various little chores

to knock out.

And I have a coloring date with E <3

it's all about the glue

I really don't like Mondays.

They come back way to fast to suit me.

I prefer the loooooooong weekends, thank you very much.

So we watched Boardwalk Empire last night.

It was pretty good!

It started off kinda slow, but ended nicely.

I have found something to fill the TB void 

on Sundays!

I think I already kinda have

 a crush on Jimmy :p

It really is a good show.

Ooh, and I got the Lit sticker on getglue

for checking in!

I totally missed Nucky's carnation, though.

I took "check in during the premier"

to mean when the

show actually came on....

not watch the trailer for the damn show.

But whatever.

I got the first of the 12, so

I'm looking forward to rounding

out that collection, too.

I can't

wait for my first set of stickers to get here!

It's my True Blood stickers (and

all the other random ones

I managed to get).

I think I'm going to get some of those little magnet

things out of the craft section and 

stick them on there, so I can

have awesome magnets

instead of cool stickers.

I'm most excited about my

Hookah sticker!



I am probably way too addicted to getglue.
But it's cool.
I check in to all kinda of stuff...
books, games, music, shows, 
whatever I'm thinking about.
And I love that they send you all
the stickers you've earned 
for free when you request them.
I've completely rated through the several lists.
It's easy to lost track of time!


So, that's pretty much it for today!

Sometimes I wish there were two of me....

....just so I could marry myself :p  

Sometimes, I'm just so awesome I amaze myself.

I give up my turn on the xbox(I was so rocking Minerva's Den),

get up, and walk in front of the fan, which is 

aimed directly at Brandy.

As I walk by, I make sure I'm lined up

just right, and then I fart....

(one of those really good rattle the windows farts)

The fan does it job and

blows my awesomeness

directly in Brandy's face and up his nose.

SCOOOOOORE!!!

It was great.

They should make a movie about it.

Srsly.

We did nothing today.

Just hung around the house doing

random stuff.

We did venture out into the yard for a 

bit this evening.

I was going to lay out, but

my god it was so hot!

And here I thought summer was over!

But I always forget the last great push 

summer gives this time of year.

We'll be hovering in the 

mid to upper 90's for 

a bit still, until

we wake up one morning and

suddenly it's in the 40's.

Nothing else going on....

waiting on

to come on.

I'm hoping it's really good.

I need something to fill the Sunday nite

void True Blood has left until June.

I need to cruise DA again and find some new awesomeness.

My BB is begging for a new wallpaper.

Probably my Vaio, too.

slow sloooow Saturday

Almost let the day go by without blogging.
Probably could have, seeings how I
have nothing to blog about.
But I'm trying this
new thing where I kinda stick with something.
We'll see how it goes :p

I've been miserable today.
I've had this freaking cold for a month and a half now,
and it just won't go away.
Top it off without allergies that have
totally kicked my butt today and
it makes for a very fun Whitty.

I've sat on the couch all day screwing around the puter.
Managed my farm, took care of the frontier,
knocked out a couple layouts....
On the schedule for tonite:
more farming, more frontiering,
maybe a little Bleach. I could go for
some Minerva's Den, but Brandy's
hogging my 360.
I lead a very exciting life!!

The hellions were circling earlier, just like shit flies.
Couldn't figure out why till I glanced at the clock while
sending a txt.....20 minutes till 8, and I hadn't
fed them yet!!!
I can't believe they waited
that long and didn't
go forage in the cabinets
and feed themselves!!
Quick pot of sloppy joes and
they love me again.
I'm such a great mom :p

Oooh, I fixed the desktop.
It comes on and loads Windows.
But nothing on it works, LMAO!
Srsly....the usb ports don't work, the networking
stuff doesn't work, along with
every other thing you
need to make a computer actually
usable. Doesn't work.
Drivers...who knew?

BOTCT is coming up.
I don't have a team :(
Amy's went at the speed of light,
everyone at Amanda's can't commit,
I'm trying to get the Dysfunctional Gypsies to hop in
with me.
I think we're close, one or two more people.
I get people really do have lives, honestly,
but geez, I don't, and I expect everyone
to drop what they're
doing and play with me dammit!!
Is that asking too much?? I
think not! :p

Thank God it is Friday.
It's been a very long week, and one I'm glad to see end.
The weekend is going to blow. Brandy has to work tomorrow, we go to
MaMaw's on Sunday.....I really just want to hang around the house the
whole weekend and do nothing at all.
Doesn't look like that is going to happen this weekend.
*sigh*

Parent/Teacher conference last night.
PURE HELL.
Gabe's teacher scheduled us for 5:30.
Shocker, we were there at 5:25. I couldn't believe it.
I was actually early for something.
Too bad we had to stand around out in the
hall until 5:45 while she chatted
away with another teacher over nothing.
I was sooo pissed.
But we got in there and she just raved about Gabe.
He's so sweet, and follows directions so well,
I love hearing stuff like that!
His results for some kind of test(reading) came back
and he's at the advanced end.
Monday his teacher is moving him to a different reading group
where he'll do more reading by himself
and projects.
His spelling and math are both 100.
I'm so proud of my Gabey.

Then we headed off to the 6th grade hall for Alee.
It was horrible from the beginning.
We stood in line for over an hour. Crazy.
Then we get on there and I want to kill Alee.
They get checks every time they get into trouble.
4 checks and they lose the movie day at the end of the month.
Alee has 3. Ohmahgawd. I could have strangled her.
She got one for singing during class. One for dancing during class.
One for spitting on a boy(Alee swore that one was
an accident, but she still got in trouble).
Srsly could have snapped her damn head off
then and there.
She knows better than that.
Then we got to her grades.
Honestly, they weren't that bad until she got to Social Studies.
A freaking C. She failed 2 open book tests, a quiz, and
got a big ole F on some homework.
Momma was so not happy.
I don't take anything lower than a B.
She's got 4 more weeks to pull that C up and
she had best do it.
We didn't go talk to her SS teacher, I was
soo pissed after being there almost 2 hours
and then having to listen
at how bad Alee was acting.

Still getting nowhere with the desktop.
We need a cd to boot from.
The piece of crap came with all the backup stuff installed on it.
I don't understand how that's even
remotely a good idea.
Take us for example;
Shit is missing(a system config file, for starters),
and wouldn't you know it,
it needs a boot up disk to replace it.
I honestly don't know that it'd
be better for us to have this one fixed instead
of just buying a new one.
Only sucky thing is now that the desktop is crap
we have no house phone.
No computer = No MagicJack.
I don't have enough USB ports on the laptop for it,
and honestly I'm not crazy about
being tied down with a phone line, either.
Just a big headache.

Still mourning my camera.

The kids are out of school today,
fighting, tearing the house apart.
I should probably go make sure nothing's on fire down the hall.....
they're terribly quiet.

him all day long, not me!
Guess we'll do Gabe first and then head to
Alee's teacher and get her progress report.

And then they're home tomorrow.
Yay.

I guess since it's 4 hours away I probably need to
get started on getting
presentable enough to go out in public.
That takes awhile.
Srsly.

And I hate being around people.
It makes me nauseous.

I'm being sucked back into the Sims.
I haven't played in forever, and then started

Tomorrow is Parent/Teacher conference
and we go get the kids progress reports.
Then they're out of school Friday.
Brandy most likely has to work Saturday.

Like I said, nothing.

The desktop is total crap.
Might as well take it out and shoot it
along side my camera.
Stupid useless technology.

Over the weekend it started acting stupid.
Time for a reformat, I thought.
(It's the only thing that fixes it anymore)
It took FOREVER.
I had to go through it about 10 times before it finished completely.
Finally, finally it finished.
Got the magicjack plugged back in and installed and
all I had left to do was download firefox and avg to it.

Last night Brandy turned it off.
Turned it on this morning and it kept going through
the whole "Windows can't load" song and dance.
After taking turns with all the options I just said eff it, reformat!
6 times this morning. Then it ran through CHKDSK.....
and things went to hell.
4 more times with CHKDSK, 1 more reformat,
and now it's telling me it can't read the partition and the reformat won't continue.

So screwed. Of course, it came with all the crap loaded onto it, no disk to put in and
boot up from.

Yes, it's old and a piece of crap.
Yes it needed to be replaced.
But not right now.

WHY is everything breaking now????

It liiiiiiiiiives!!!

Yes, yes I am still alive.
Only, what, 6 months since my last post? Not too bad. I guess it could have
been worse, right?
We all know I suck at this blogging thing.
It comes and goes.
I get a hair up my butt and blog for awhile,
and then it disappears as suddenly as it appears.

But never fear! I'm here, for the moment....
about to catch you up on my
wildly exciting life!

The kids are growing way too fast.
They all just had birthdays and I now have a
5 year old, and 7 year old and a 12 year old.
My babies are growing up.
It makes me wanna puke when I look at Alee.
She's sooooo growney.
She looks so much like a.......girl....a teenage girl
that it kills me.
Gabe is still my sweet, tender little boy.
And he's such a goof, just like his daddy ;)
EE is just....well, EE.
Looks like an angel, acts like the devil.
Alee and Gabe are in the 6th and 1st grade now.
With E's birthday so close to the cutoff I just
kept her out another year.
It worked well with the other two, I
figured why mess with success?
They're both loving their teachers, and Alee's
taking band this year. She's playing the flute, like I did :)
Mason's growing like a weed, but he's still so tiny.
And he's mean. Really mean.
He's so much like Jess it's not even funny, right down
to the little fall out fit throwing and fake crying.

I'm still scrapping.
Slowly but surely.
Sometimes my heart isn't in it and I pull back,
other times I sit and do 4 or 5 pages a day.
I like to think I've cut back on my teams, but in reality
I really haven't. I dropped a few, picked up a few more.
Right now I'm creating for Sherrie Piegdon, Ami Collofello, Amanda Carlson,
Amy Stoffel, Rachel Young, Hodge Podge, DSA, and mgl Scraps.
See what I mean? No cutting back there!
But I do love all my designers, and when it comes down to it
these are the teams that are always at the top of my
"Never going to drop" list.
The rest of the digi world kinda blows.
I go out of my way to avoid most of it and
stay holed up in my own little world :)

It's dead. Won't work. Kaput. Junk.
I'm so sad.
I don't know what I'm going to do without it

snowed in

It really did snow an assload.
And I hate snow.
The roads are relatively clear(who knew Lauderdale County had a snow plow?!)
but we stayed holed up in the house anyway :)

We've done a whole lot of nothing.
Brandy's gamed, I've puttered around PS,
the kids have played.

The DSA Scrap Off is over.
My score tanked last week. BAD.
But I expected it, I really did hate my LO.
I didn't want to be doing it...I just threw some stuff on the
page and smooshed it into the corner.

But, I really LOVE my LO this week.
ALOT.
Even if no one else does :P
Maybe it'll boost my score back up from
the dark hole it fell in to.
If not, oh well :)

Day 30:

Barfy snow & Ice

For days they've been talking about this god awful storm heading our way.

6-10 inches of snow, 1-2 inches of ice, wind chills in the neighborhood of -7

not my kind of weather at all.

I don't do cold. I sure as hell don't do snow.

Much to my surprise, we are getting ice and snow.

Not 6-10 inches by any means.....but it's still coming down, and the

day is relatively young.

Right now I'd say

we have a good 2ish inches.

And if I have to be snowed in with someone, I can't

imagine better company than Brandy and the kids :)

I totally braved the wicked elements to get today's photo.

It was cold, my shoes were soaked through in seconds,

my pants got wet, and I came thisclose to busting my ass.

Plus, it's not that fluffy white snow.  These are frickin

snow bb's!
