Dear Alice.....

You knew this was coming, right?
I've been working on my "review" off and on.
We've had family stuffs to do and it's eaten
up a lot of my time.

We went Friday night to see New Moon...we had tickets for the 9:50 show.
Everything earlier was sold out.
And the day after, too.
You would not believe the stack of papers where people had bought
their tickets from Fandango.
Monstrous pile. Srsly.

Let's start with the soundtrack with the movie.
I like it a bit better now that I've
 seen the movie. I'm more
partial to the score than I am the actual soundtrack,
but it doesn't make my ears bleed quite as bad
as it did when I first listened to it.
It'll never make my favorites list.

Things I didn't like in the movie:

The car.
I understand Volvo gave them a different car.
I understand Chris Weitz not wanting to paint it silver
and try to pass it off as the same as in Twilight.
I understand, really I do.
Doesn't mean I like it.

The birthday party.
Sigh.  I just wasn't feeling it.
Bella's cut wasn't doing it for me.  Carlisle and Bella
were like super duper cozy while he stitched her up.
I wanted the story about Edward and his mother.

Jasper's wig.
Poor boy.
I'd have put up a fight if they tried to put that on my head.

 Not enough Emmett.
Srsly.
There could have been way more Emmett.  Even if it was just a photo of
him on the wall or something.  Just more.

The cliff dive.
I was disappointed.
The big crashing wave--didn't feel it at all.

The Edward visions.
They weren't bad.  They weren't good, either.
Sorta cheesy, especially the one in the water, after Bella
dives off the cliff.....kinda like dead fishes in the water.

The porsche.
Ok, not the car so much as the bad green screened drive.

Edward's topless reveal.
Um, am I the only one who thinks his
nippys were a little off? Methinks they
should have started the airbrushing a little lower
down so his man boobs didn't look like
they were dragging the floor.
And what up with the "scar" around lefty?
It looks like someone ate some Edward nipple for lunch.

Demitri and Felix.
Yah. So not what I pictured.
Disappointment.

Alice's Vision of Vampy Bella.
Um, WTF?
My exact words during the movie were
"ohmahgawd. Srsly? Are you effing kidding me?"
Not right. Downright silly.

Where was Victoria?
I was disappointed we saw so little of her.

Things I liked in the movie:

The mirror and Edward's sparklies.
Perfection. It was good.

Bella's gray hair.
Loved that convo between her and Charlie.
Loved how she jumped up to check for
that gray hair. I giggled.
Alee leaned over and whispered "That is so you, Momma."

Alice.
Everything Alice.
I love Alice.  Loved how she jumped over
the rails to give Bella her present.  Loved the witty, sarcastic
Alice comments "As soon as you put the dog out"....
how can you not love Alice??

The nighttime patrons of the arts:
I loved the way the painting
came to life. Not so much the outfits, but
that's besides the point.

Dear Alice.
Time Passes.
O.M.G.
I *loved* the emails.
Maybe my favorite part.

Jake.
Good stuff.  He had some awesome Jakeish lines-
"Age is just a number baby"..... too bad he's
a kid.  Srsly. He's like really 17.
In real life. Srsly.

The garage.
I loved the whole little thing with
Jake and Bella fixing the bikes.

Jessica.
I really like Jessica this go round.
"Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Movie night with Bel-la..."

Gold.

Face Punch.
Hahahahahaha! Good stuff!

Hunting the wolves.
A.K.A. How perfect was Victoria?
Perfection. Perfect perfection.
The way Victoria should have looked in Twilight.
I loved her. I loved watching the pack chase her.

The Pack.
I was slightly impressed with the wolves.
I pictured them taller, but all in all
I was quite pleased.

Emily.
They nailed it. The end.

Jane.
I admit, at first I balked at Dakota Fanning
playing Jane.  I couldn't make it
work in my head.
But I was wrong. She was good.

The vote.
Emmett.  He was there...I kinda didn't notice anything
else about this scene.
But I'm glad they included it.

The proposal.
Dahdahduuuuuuuuuuum.....
Gah! I really did like the part, but was it
necessary to leave me in my
seat with my mouth hanging open like that?

So yes, I loved New Moon. Even more than I
thought I would.  And we've seen it twice.

My thoughts & fun filled opinions on the New Moon Soundtrack....

I really want to know the thought process behind putting together this soundtrack.  Overall it is the most random collection of crap I have ever heard.  Yes, I was less than impressed with the TW soundtrack, but at least it had promise.  There's no hope for this.  At best the songs are just meh, and that's putting it as nicely as I possibly can.

Ready for my rundown of the list and my song by song opinion? Well of course you are!!

15 songs.  6 make me want to rupture my ear drums. 8 are more or less ok, I expected way better.  1, 1 song that saves the entire soundtrack.

Death Cab for a Cutie- Meet Me on the Equinox--- Gag.

Band of Skulls- Friends--- I like the beginning ok(the first 48 seconds...it's downhill after that). Overall it's meh.(maybe ipod material)

Thom Yorke- Hearing Damage--- WTF?! That's all I can say about that one.

Lykke Li- Possibility--- Puke. Could've done without that one.

The Killers- A White Demon Love Song--- meh.(possibly ipod worthy)

Anya Marina- Satellite Heart--- I've heard worse.(ipod list)

Muse- I Belong to You(New Moon remix)--- I usually love Muse. To death.  But I'm not a fan of remixes most of the time. This one is no exception. Barf.

Bon Iver and St.Vincent- Roslyn--- um, wtf is this? Dry heave material.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Done all Wrong--- Really liked this one...the first 25 seconds. Then they start singing. Not that bad, not that good either. Meh. (I see this one making the ipod)

Hurricane Bells- Monsters--- This one I like fairly well.  It had me head bobbin.  (made the ipod list)

Sea Wolf- The Violet Hour--- Not even sorta...even if I was deaf.

Ok Go- Shooting the Moon--- Yeeeah....kinda hard to hear anything over the drum. Meh. (if I can get past the drum, it might make the ipod list)

Grizzly Bear-  Slow Life--- Meh.  It's one of those you can't turn off....you want to stop listening but can't(and ipod material because of that)

Editors- No Sound but the Wind--- It's....hmmm.  Music's good, can't get into the lyrics.

There is one gem on here....I fell in love immediately.

Alexandre Desplat-New Moon(the Meadow)---
It's the Bella's Lullaby of New Moon....
This is GORGEOUS. PERFECTION.  Srsly....it really is perfect and beautiful.  It makes me smile, it makes me cry.(on my ipod, on repeat.)

So there you have it.  My opinion, for what's worth :P

Retirement Sale!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sherrie Piegdon has over 50 products marked down 75% off! You better hurry, the sale's over Wednesday September 30th, and then they're gone for good!!

Dear Geek Squad.......You FAIL.

So my wonderful, beautiful Vaio was dying. Randomly shutting off at the most inconvenient times. And then it got worse....you'd turn it on, 5 minutes later it shut off. 1 hour later, you could get it to come back on, only to repeat the process. I was 98% sure it was the CPU overheating. I was pretty sure that'd call for them shipping it off to Sony to be repaired. So, last night we headed to Jackson to take my baby back to Best Buy(gotta love a warranty).

Let me tell you how I envisioned this happening; We'd walk up to the Geek Squad desk, and someone would immediately ask what was wrong. I'd tell them my baby was overheating and shutting off almost constantly. They would, of course, turn it on and watch it turn off, smile at me sympathetically even, maybe. Then I would be told they were shipping it off to Sony for them to repair, and it would take x amount of time.

Now, let me tell you how things really went down; We walked to the Geek Squad counter, stood there for almost a minute while the 7 or 8 people behind it laughed and talked. Finally, a guy comes up to us(looking completely put out he had to leave his group of friends and actually do his job), we tell him what's happening. The guy stands there, drumming his hands on the counter looking at us like we're completely effing insane for a solid 2 minutes. I shit you not. 2 minutes. Bang-bang-tap-drum-tap-bang-drum-tap-tap. Stare.Stare.Eyeroll.Stare.Sigh.Stare. 2 minutes of this. Eventually he grabs my laptop spins it around, turns it on, and says log in(to Brandy, cause you know, I'm a girl and all...I can't possibly begin to comprehend logging onto my laptop, let alone even begin to imagine what could possibly be causing it to power off). He says he's going to stress the system. Ok, good deal, you do that, it'll shut off, we'll discuss what we're going to do. HA! So, of course, it shuts off, but he's all "I don't know if it shut down or the battery died." Srsly? You don't know? Here's a clue, buddy...perhaps if you stayed within viewing distance of the thing you'd know....Over an hour we're there.....I'm getting talked over(I'm a girl, no brain obviously). The guy is just pissing me off more and more and more, I just want to reach over the counter, pick up my laptop and smash it into the ground and yell "Well there's your problem, the piece of shit is in 4 pieces!!"......finally I get this "We're going to run diagnostics.....anything on here you couldn't stand to lose?" No, I say, I backed everything up myself. I don't need to pay you $100 to do that. A look at Brandy with a cocked eyebrow, he just shakes his head to no(he was so mad a silent head shake was a blessing)...a piece of paper comes flying across the counter for Brandy to sign(remember, I'm a girl, I can't operate an ink pen) and that was that. I walked out of Best Buy without my laptop, without knowing what was wrong, how long Best Buy was going to have it, what they were going to do, if they were shipping it to Sony, and an estimate of how long that would take.
(P.S.I'm not sure what's up with the condition of my baby being listed as 'cracked' on the piece of paper...but um, it wasn't...you better remember that and not fix an imaginary problem.)

You seriously had to be there. I'm talking rude to the extreme.
The quickest way to get my bitchdar flying is to completely ignore me and what I'm saying just because I'm a woman. Yes, I do have a brain in my pretty little head, and, sometimes, I even manage to put together complete thoughts and sentences. *Gasp*
Another thing that'll get my panties in a bunch real quick like--go ahead and act like I'm inconveniencing you, making you do your job and all. Heaven forbid you do what you're paid to do. The world just might explode.

So, yah, Geek Squad in the Jackson Best Buy, YOU FAIL. Your customer service blows. Maybe you should work on some people skills.....I mean, I'm sorry you have to wear those pants pulled up to your armpits and all, but it really isn't my fault.

On a positive note, we did walk out with some RAM for the desktop, so I've been able to get CS4 loaded on here and get some work done :o)

In other news...... ;o)
Did yall see that?? There...just behind you, over the tree....it was a flying pig!!!
Just lookie what I caught....
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Brandy. Reading Eclipse. Score.
And nothing burst into flames.

Oooh, and lookie what he brought home today!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Alee had already eaten Jacob)

Yum. Chocolate. New Moon. Win-Win situation!

Speaking of New Moon, I am less than excited abut the soundtrack :/
I just can not get excited about that list of songs. At all. True, I hated the Twilight soundtrack in the beginning, but at least it had hope. This one is going to take a miracle. And maybe several Long Island Iced Teas.
And what's up with the black Volvo Suckmit? Srsly? You are brave, I'll give you that. Black Volvo? Do I squeal in a pitch only dogs can hear when I see a black Volvo? No. That's for Shiny silver Volvos. You know, like the one Edward drives. Black? Ppppfffffttttt.
Whatever Suckmit.

My rambling has run out, I guess.....I keep finding myself opening another tab and getting stuck at Facebook :P

Hello out there!

Yah, I know...I suck to the max! Sometimes I wonder if there's just any hope for me and blogging. Well, I'm sporadic about it, that's for sure, and if you know me then you know that is so me, so I guess I can't expect anything less than that!

It's September, unbelievably! Gabe's loving school, and I hate the fact it's turned my sweet little boy into a raging butt head! Alee hates school, of course, LOL! E's finally adjusted to it being just the two of us home. She's not crammed up my butt all day crying, which makes me happy. But boy is she glad to see Gabe in the afternoon! Ever so often she'll ask if it's time for Bubba to be home yet, and I get that sad little sigh, but she bucks up and just goes back to playing.

Other than that it's pretty quiet on the home front!!

My guest spot with Amy Stoffel turned into a full time gig, and I am sooo jazzed about that! A definite dream spot! Things are awesome at PGD-did you check out the awesome goodies released today? I swear, PGD owns my EHD--it's going to explode from all the stuff I have crammed on it!

We finally got around to watching Death Note: The Last Name. I swear, I have a thing for bad movies! At least they dubbed it with the voices from the anime!

Things wrong with this Death Note Movie:

1. It's dubbed--way better than reading, but it kills me when the
mouths aren't with the words

2. Rem's voice is way wrong. Wrong.Wrong.Wrong.

3.Misa--um, where'd her blonde hair and boobs go?

4. It really is a bad movie, LOL!

L: Change the World hits the shelves in about a week or two...of course, I'll be watching it :P

And I'm so bummed that the end of Season 2 of True Blood is practically here. Can't wait for the DVD to come out so I can obsessively watch it with season 1! OOh, and my new favorite phrase is 'Teacup Humans'.... like I can make a whole sentence out of my 2 favorite phrases now...."I seriously love my teacup humans". Yah, I'm a dork. Take it or leave it :P

I guess that's it for now. I've rambled on about absolutely nothing, and I hear my teacup humans giggling like mad loons in the bathroom and that can only mean trouble. *sigh*

2 out of 3....

Gabe had his first day of kindergarten today. I've been dreading this day for months. He's been looking forward to it. My heart broke when he marched his little butt out to the bus this morning like he owned it. And poor E. She was so lost without Gabey today. The first 30 minutes consisted of her crying and telling me "You have to go get bubba, Momma. I need him." She eventually cried herself to sleep :( Later she told me "You'll just have to be my best friend now, Momma, since Gabey's at school. I guess you'll do." Can't tell you how loved that made me feel, LOL! She was so glad to see him come home! She's been hanging on him since he hit the door. Personally, I'd love it if he never went back :P I caught a glimpse of my future when he said "I found these 2 girls..." He doesn't want ot saty home tomorrow, which I guess is a good thing he likes it....but gee, what's so bad about wanting to hang with Momma all day? Alee was in full guard dog mode looking out for him today. She sat with him on the bus, walked him to his room, even went to check on him at one point and make sure he and his teacher knew what bus he was getting on. I do have pictures...Alee started on Friday, I just haven't gotten around to uploading any of the photos before now.
(frames by Amanda Carlson, tape by Ami Collofello)

His teacher is really really sweet, and Gabe, of course, charmed the pants off of her ;o) Oh, the 10 boxes of crayons....each month they get a new box and they bring the old ones home. They have a little cubby on the back wall, and there's a spot to keep the extra stuff. I think he's offically got the coolest class room. They have 4 computers in the room(the other rooms only have 1). There's this little loft thing they can climb up in for reading time-they can either look at the books, or slip the headphones on and listen to a book. Once a week, someone brings bottles of water(8 ozs) and they get to keep them at their seat(they refill them at the water fountain)...just generally cool stuff :o) So, yeah, that was school!

BOTCT is over. Even though I generally complained the whole time I had fun. I'm just a complainer about these things though, it wasn't anything specific. Our last challenge produced our best LO's I think. We went with a 10 Reasons theme, and you had to scraplift 2 of your teammates. This was mine

I'm far too lazy to get you caught up on the rest of the LO's for the challenges, but they're in my gallery :o)
Did I tell you I got a guest spot this month with Amy Stoffel? I am so stoked about it!! Seriously fun stuff to scrap with! And, of course, you know I'm going to show you the LO's I've done with her goodies!!

You can find this whole collection, Flavors of Life:Summer at Scrap Orchard...or you can buy each kit separately ;o)

Lots of good stuff hitting the shelves Friday at PGD! This LO has a little of the new stuff(I have more LO's in the works, if I get them done before tomorrow night, I'll let you sneaky peek the goods), and is for an upcoming challenge

That's going to be about it for today...the kids are screaming for food, I have more scrapping to do and books to read!
Later loves!

A CT Call!!

I know, I know, it's been forever and a couple days...I do have a really good post coming soon, I promise!
But today is all business, quick and dirty style!

Amanda is having her first CT Call!!

Make sure you apply! Good stuffs!!
There's also some kick ass stuff coming out Friday @ PGD, I'll be back with some peeks at that in a bit with my next(ginormous) post ;0)

Get your challenge on!!

Today is the last challenge of the month at PGD, and it's all mine! It's a Wild Card Challenge....Opposites Attract......You scrap the opposite way you usually do!
Like, I'm a complete jouranlphobe(I seriously hate journaling) and I'm all about the white space. So I forced myself to move out of the corner and use more of the page and I even journaled!

There's still time to catch up on any challenges you've missed--remember, the points roll over month to month!

I don't have a problem....I swear!

Brandy says I wear my obsessions. I like to think my clothing choices reflect my interests. I have my 'decent' shirts that I wear when we go some where nice, and the really dressy something for the occasional occasion that warrants it. But for every day wear, trips to WalBangers, hanging at MaMaws, I want to be comfortable, and wear things I like. That includes the oodles of Twilight shirts and jewelry I have, Death Note shirts, Kingdom Hearts shirts.....if I like it chances are good I can wear it! Adding to the list today, a Fangtasia Shirt :o)

I love it :D And just lemme say, I am glad I bought a Large. If that's a large I'd hate to see a small.I have more I plan on buying....a Merlotte's shirt, another Fangtasia one that has Life Begins at Night(they didn't have one of those when I ordered mine), a hat for Brandy.....

Amanda let me borrow her Sookie Stackhouse books....which I finished and immediately bought. *LOVE* them. Of course, I plowed through them the first time...now I'm rereading them, taking my time, enjoying them. They really are good. I suggest reading them. And watching True Blood....it's good, even though I'd say it's soft porn. Not so much season 2 as season 1, though.

Oooh ooh, I saw some New Moon merchandise---YES!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited and can't wait until I can start buying stuff! I am beyond excited about the movie! Alee and I spent I don't know how long playing around on the NM Site today! http://www.newmoonthemovie.com/ It is soooo cool! We played in the Cullen House, reading about everyone, fangirl squealing about everything, and then we headed over to the La Push Reservation, read everything, fangirl squealed about about everything. Is it November yet??

Did I mention I was doing Battle of the Creative Teams? I'm playing for PGD, of course.
Here's my LO for the first challenge

We had to do white space,
coordinate our colors.
as an added bonus, we
all picked outdoor
photos.

Voting for round one just wrapped up and we're working on round 2. Of course, I'm miserable...I always am when I do these things. I just hate being told what I *have* to do.

Ohmahgawd....Gabe's supply list. 10 boxes of crayons. 10. That just blows my mind. Why? Why does every kid have to bring 10 boxes of 24 crayons? 2 different kinds of markers, 6-12 glue sticks, and then they want a supply fee! If I have to send money for supplies why am I buying 240 crayons, packs of cardstock, baby wipes, germ-x......And when did they stop using the fat kindergarten pencils? Did I miss something? We didn't have to go through this with Alee--we sent her to Abundant Life Chrisitan School for kindergarten, and they supplied everything. If we could afford the $400/month, she'd still be going, and Gabe too. The whole thing just isn't sitting well with me. I have no problem sending what my kids need for school, but I'm not supplying everyone else's kid.

And with that, I'm off I suppose. I have reading to do :P

Things that make me giggle...

I'm a sucker for a laugh. And when you take into account how lame my sense of humor is, that's pretty easy to do. I love really lame jokes. Those get me to laughing for hours. Wanna hear the best joke ever?? What did the snail say while riding on the turtles back?.............wheeeeeeeeee! See, I told ya--best joke you'll ever hear!

And today I thought I'd share some of my recent favorite giggles with you!

I love Death Note. Seriously.
Anything Death Note makes me smile. And this is just effin funny.
(and maybe true!)
(found @ Deviantart)

Sticking with Vince.....
(I know, but ya just gotta watch it!)
P.S.Thanks AJ!

Love Twilight. But
you already knew that, right?
This makes me snort.
(found @ deviantart)

and this just makes me giggle....
kinda like a school girl..
(found @ deviantart)

The other thing that makes me giggle:
Playing 'my family
is crazier than yours' with Brandy.
I was winning. Like way winning.
And then he got a phone call. And got the winning
point for this round.
I hate losing.

So, that's it. That's what has me laughing like a loon lately.
There's not a whole lot going on around here. I'm waiting on From Dead to Worse to get here. I ended up ordering it from Wal-Mart since I couldn't find it anywhere(for the same price Wal-Mart offered). Once I finish it I have one more book left and then I can get'em back to Amanda(and buy my own :P) Did I mention they're really good books? Cause they are. Super good. Seriously good. Seriously. Oh....ahem. And I gots a Fangtasia shirt on the way. I'm a dork, I know. Can't help it. It's genetic.

Hello Stranger

I can not believe it's been 3 weeks since I've blogged. Seriously. Where did the time go? I mean, I knew I was a bad blogger, but still....
So, I guess that means time for a little game of catch up ;o)

We made it to Reelfoot. Nobody died-and that's amazing. There was much drama about getting into the cabin, and it was a million and 4 degrees. That made for very cranky people. Fun trip.
I do have just a few photos to share, and I put up a little less than half on my drop shots.

(Click these itty bitty ones for a better bigger look)

What you don't see are the pictures of everyone grumpy and being short with each other. When I say it's amazing that no one died I mean it was freaking AMAZING THAT NO ONE DIED. I had to fight the impulse to shove people off the dock and throw food and silverware. Love my family.

We've just been hanging out and doing lots of nothing. Enjoying the summer.

The 4th of July wasn't a big deal this year. It rained it's butt off most of the afternoon, cleared up just long enough for a few fireworks and some sparklers. Sparklers. Brandy and AJ made a sparkler bomb. When I say bomb I mean boom-bomb. The lady at the fireworks store told Brandy about it, and he was dying to try it. It was LOUD! And awesome. Mamaw spent the rest of the night bitching about the cops showing up and arresting us...it was that great. Jess was there, not Mason--so not going into that because the more I think about it the more it pisses me off. Granny(she left before it even got dark), Aunt Scotty, Uncle Keith & AJ. And us. None of the crazies, thank goodness!

I just love how this
one turned out

A while back I had read something about Light Writing.
Not exactly the way it's supposed to be done,
but close enough. And I love this.

Hm, what else?? Oh! I've been sucked into True Blood. I watched the first show way back when and immediately hated it. I was done with it. Didn't want to see more. But things happen, and I devoured the first season, and I hate waiting on each episode of the second season. And I'm reading the books. I mentioned something about buying them, and Amanda offered to let me borrow hers. Ohmahgawd. They are so good! I'm ready to start the 4th one--I spent all day yesterday reading, and nothing got done, so today I've been good and cleaned and crap first. I am SO buying these.

Hrm, I guess that's pretty much it for now!

Sunday funday lazy craziness!

Summer break is in full swing! We're living outside playing. We ended up with an awesome new slipn'n slide--2 lanes with a huge splash pool and these little float thingys to slide on. The kids love it, we love it. Good times! Not to mention the loads of sunshine I've been soaking up!

The big boys(Brandy and Jay) went and shot guns today, so the kids and I hung out here around the house and watched Twilight. And I have to admit, I love the fact they get excited when Edward swoops in to save the day, or Alice goes all bad ass and rips James' head off, I love they know the words to all the songs on the soundtrack, and I love that they all have most of the movie memorized! I am such a good Momma!!

Ugh, the PlayStation kicked the bucket. We are now members of the YLOD club(that's Yellow Light of Death for you non gamers). Yay. And AJ's game is stuck inside the thing. Booooring. I had to bust out our prehistoric dvd player to watch Twilight on(we've had that huge thing for 11 years, and it still works! But I miss the Blu-Rays :( ) We're waiting on a prepaid mailing label to be emailed so we can ship it in to be fixed(thank god we bought the 2 year extended warranty!!) The lady said if we ship it UPS(and we will) that we will have it back in 7-10 days, which is loads better than the month and a half it was gone the first time we had to send it in. I swear the 40 gigs are a joke. And they know it, too, that's why they quit making them. We've decided our Christmas present this year is going to be a new PS3. At the very least we'll have a back up--plus that will let us be able to get our LAN going and actually play online together(we did that with SWBFII on the PS2 and man we had a blast!!)

Yesterday was Mamaw's 89th Birhtday party. She's such a party pooper--she sat in the living room while we were all at the table with the cake singing Happy Birthday. She said "I can hear yall just fine from in here." Cake was good :) We made rough final plans for the kids party this summer. We're just having one big party for them. Gabe's birthday is July 25, E's is Aug 11, Mason is Aug 15, and Alee is Aug 23. We thought it'd just be better for everyone to have one big birthday party. Granny's going to make Masey a little smash cake, and we'll get some cupcakes or something from EW James or something. Now all we have to do is settle on a date, LOL!
Mason is just about walking. He's cruising(and climbing) on everything, and he'll take a couple steps on his own. He took 3 steps to me yesterday and promptly ripped my earring out! Thankfully they have the little hing thing so it only hurt like crap and didn't actually rip my ear.
I got tons of cute photos yesterday, wanna see a few of my faves?(Aherm, due to reasons I'm not getting in to, I'm watermarking my photos now, and it's going to be pretty obnoxious. If you've got access to my dropshots you'll be able to enjoy the not obnoxious ones)

Next weekend is our family vacation to Reelfoot. we're only doing 2 days and one night this time, and I'm not happy about it at all. It's not enough time, we're going to be rushed-and when I fell rushed I get cranky. I'm just not happy. But I'll suck it up and try to be nice. Try being the kid word. MawMaw's been an uber bitch about everything, but you really can't fight back with someone that old. I'm Jess and I will be up to our usual stuff.

Little bit of business for ya!

It's time for Voting for the Pixel Gypsy Elite Scrapper of the Year! Let me tell ya, Scott and Sherrie whipped up an awesome way to vote! It is so neat, I spent so much time playing with it! All of the entrants are just absolutely amazing, and it's not an easy vote! But there's a scale of 1-5 for each layout, which makes it a little better instead of sitting there trying to pick one favorite! And, when you vote, you get a $5 coupon good for your next order, no minimum purchase! So click on the banner and head on over and vote already!

and some LO's for ya!

Ami's Sweet Tweet's mini

Ashley's He Sells Sea Shells

So that's pretty much all I've got today. The kids are hungry and cranky!

My life--Virtually.

I bought the Sims 3. Now I can't turn it off. I minimize it for 3 minutes every couple hours for 5 minutes of online time. I spent hours last night color coordinating everything in the house(cabinets, towels, wallpaper, furniture, vehicles). I bought a partnership with the spa. My toddler is bald.

It's freaking unbelievable the things you can do. 3 is just.....wow. Wow.

So, yeah. That's all I've done for the last 24 hours or so. I know. I'm a total loser. Love it or leave it, it's who I am :P

Of course, I'm going to have to turn it off soon and get some scrapping done. Sherrie's got some awesome stuff coming out Friday!!

I'll be doing Battle of the CT's-on the PGD team, of course :P

I can't count how many times Al and I have watched the NM trailer--goooooood stuff ;o)

Yeah. That's all I've got. My mind is off thinking about Sims things. Off to play some more :o)

New Moon Trailer!

You really didn't think I'd let the night go by without commenting and adding it, did you?

My reaction: Oh.My.God. (minor little wth that's way wrong, but it'll be ok)

Summer's here!

I know I've been horrible about blogging lately. I have an excuse, seriously! School is winding down(tomorrow is the last day-1/2 day at that) and we've been getting ready for summer. And I've picked up a nasty cold. We all have it, you should hear the kiddos coughing...well, maybe not. It'll keep you up at night! I seriously spent the majority of the day cleaning the house yesterday(and it was all undone in 4.9 seconds by my absolutely evil children). It got destroyed over the long weekend with us all being home and in and out all day just dumping stuff. Chowder has decided the mop is his mortal enemy and must be destroyed at all costs, so cleaning the floor was next to impossible. And then he decided the wet floor was the Indy 500 track and ran(or should I say slid and fell) laps around the kitchen. Pure joy, I tell ya.

Hmm....lots to cover as this is a catch up post. First up, CT and Scrapping stuffs!

I've got a new CT! I'm really excited about it! Hazel Olive Designs--she's got some really awesome stuff! These are some LO's I've done with her stuff--which, by the way, I'm finding myself scrapping way outside my norm, and I am so loving it!!

Friday (5/28) at TLP and SA is a little beauty, Backyard Bliss by Rachel, Gina & Kate(award winning combo)....here's my LO with it, doesn't even do the kit justice!

Now, let's move on to....NEW MOON! O.M.G. Wonderful, awesome, drool worthy photos coming out of Italy today. I am so jealous of those lucky people in Italy that are getting these shots! Now, for the record, let me state; Yes, Rob is easy on the eyes. I don't think he's as hot as some other folks do, but he's not hard to look at. Now...these here pictures, DAMN! I absolutely *love* that little V area thingy around the hips--I think it's so sexy(and it drives me crazy that Brandy has it).....anywho, here are two of my faves from the ones popping up today.

Just look at her running to Edward...awesomeness!
(and check out the sweet man hips)

Whoa! that lip lock is HOT!
I am so excited for this movie! As super jazzed as I was for Twilight I'm even more so for New Moon. Everything I've seen is just right. And, if you're honest with yourself you can admit, Twilight totally sucked. Am I saying I hated it? Absolutely not. I loved the movie, saw it countless times and own 2 copies of it. But, as far as movies goes, it just....lacked. I have very high expectations for New Moon--and everything I've read and seen is just raising those expectations. Is it November yet?? :0)

I've spent a lot of today bumming. Tomorrow we had plans to go to Memphis and meet up with Sherrie and Scott. I've been looking forward to it for 2 weeks. But it's just not going to happen. My aunt had to go in and have a hysterectomy. Seeing as how she was to be my babysitter tomorrow...well, yeah, that was the end of that. Totally bites :(

So well, I guess that's it...I've gotten distracted(Death Note, I can not resist) and this has been sitting here for about 45 minutes or so...I had the "Oh yeah, I was blogging" light click on :P

Oooh, totally forgot...I did a bit of revamping last night and added a cute little music player to the blog(cause I love music and must have it!) It's set to auto play, does that bother anyone? I guess I could set it to where you have to push play, or you could hit stop? I don't know? Totally stupid having it anyway?

Just another Saturday

Have I mentioned how happy I am that it's finally warming up? I absolutely *love* the heat and the humidity. Maybe I need to relocate somewhere tropical where it's like this year round. I live for the summer--being outside, basking in the sun. There's almost nothing so bad in life that the sun can't bake away :o)

We spent a good 3 and a half hours in the yard this afternoon playing soccer with the kids. Brandy and I teamed up against the kids. Let me tell ya, those little things play dirty! They're not above pulling the Ouch-I'm-hurt-and-falling-down-while-one-of-the-other-kids-sneaks-by-and-scores-while-mom-and-dad-check-on-me card :P They're pure evil, I tell ya!

Oooh! We so bought the Magic Jack! We've been talking about it forever, and finally just went to Radio Shack and grabbed one. The only thing I'm not digging is they didn't have any local numbers so we had to get a Dyersburg number(which I now have to learn!) That's a long distance call for our families unless they use their cell phones. But, for $20 a year(instead of the $60 a month we were paying) I say they can just suck it up and deal with it! Eventually they will have local numbers for here and we'll switch it(you get 1 free number change, after that it's $10, which is still way better than what the phone company charges!). We had the phone company disconnect our service yesterday, after using both for a week to make sure it was going to work fine and all that.

Um, what am I forgetting??? SYTYCD!! 3 of my gals made it to Round 3! Abish, Brandy and Monica! Be sure to be watching for the Round 3 goodies next week(you know I'll totally keep you up to date!)

And that, my loves, is about all I've got today. I'm exhausted from running in the yard all day!

Oh wait! One more thing! Tonight is Saturday and that means Saturday Night Live chat at PGD @ 9/8 Central. Just go >HERE< and hop yourself into the Saturday Night room :o) And believe me, you haven't been to chat until you've been to a PGD chat! We always have such a blast chatting about just whatever!

I am the ultimate geek

**This is mostly a Twilight/New Moon post, so if you don't like it, skip it**

So, way back in February, I ordered the Twilight Blu-Ray Ultimate Collectors Set. It came yesterday :D I waited and waited and waited for the UPS dude to come. Finally, at 3:58 pm, he pulled up. Could you hear the fan girl squeeeeeeeing? Yep, that was me. Brandy(wonderful husband that he is) cut that darn tape for me, and I sat on the steps, outside, and devoured my box. Oohing and ahhing over it all-except that there was only the one lousy "photo" with Emmett. Seriously, WTH? Just one?

Of course, we had to watch the blu-ray, even though the girls and I watched the dvd(again) Friday night. ;o)

The 1st(2nd maybe?) draft of the New Moon script was leaked. Just goes to show how desperate us Twilighters are for any bit of anything, I guess. And that's all I'm going to say on that ;o)

Sooo...what else? Hmmm....Oh! I finally got around to using Flergs Twilight kit(that only took forever, right?) Of course, the subject matter was Twilight(New Moon, if you want to be picky), and my all time favorite quote from all of the books combined.

What else do I have??? Yah...nothing :/ I think my finger's broke-don't know how that happened. E's squirming around trying to get into my lap and crying, fun day ahead, I can see it already.

massive posting!

It's been a while and I'm feeling chatty, so buckle up loves, it's gone be a good ride :P

So, last Sunday I just felt generally ill, like I was dying. My head was throbbing, I was feverish and having hot flashes. Monday was the same. Tuesday was the same. Wednesday night my left eye was just killing me. Super sensitive to light, so dry, itchy, burning and leaking like a bad plumbing job. Thursday was more of the same. Friday morning I officially said hello to pink eye. Yay, right? I've battled it all weekend long. I even sat out the new X Men movie because of it. Last night in our PGD chat, one of the girls mentioned washing your eyes with baby shampoo to get rid if it. What? I was only half paying attention by then, my eye was bothering me so bad. I didn't really think much of it and just went to bed. This morning I said something to Brandy about it and he just looked at me like maybe I'd spun around in a circle one too many times. But, after I stumbled to the bathroom and fell into the shower(really people, without my contacts I can not see more than a handful of inches in front of me. Glasses met a tragic end long ago.), I stared at the bottle of baby shampoo(there are 2 bottles on the side of the tub. The girls *have* to have their own bottle. Gabe doesn't care if his hair ever gets washed) for 2 minutes and then thought, what the heck! I don't know if it's co-inky dink or what but I CAN SEE(as well as I can without my contacts in). But the point is, I washed my eye with Johnson&Johnson's Baby Shampoo, and it's not itchy. It's not leaking. It's not gooey. It's not blazing red. It's still a bit dry feeling, but that's almost normal for me. I never would have thought baby shampoo was the fix for pink eye! Color me amazed. And happy.

Oh, I should probably tell you we all had the swine flu. I swear. We were all running fever. We all had the chills. We all had achy aches. Can't be anything other that swine flu, right? I mean it's "catching" and anyone even kinda sick has it, right? Do you catch the sarcasm dripping off every word here?

Good sales in the digi world this weekend. I am right proud of myself. I only spent right at $5. I'm not counting the stuff from TLP's May BYOC I bought because Rachel is guesting there this month and I needed it. :D Usually I'm such an impulse buyer when iNSD rolls around....I take a sale as a free for all. I've used less than a quarter of what I bought last year(actually, I moved all but a handful of things off the EHD and onto a dvd....you know, because I just used it so much.) This year, I put the stuff in my cart and let it set. I made myself ponder was it something I really needed/wanted, or something I just liked. If my adding is right, I saved about $83 doing that. Actually, the last $12 I spent I wish I hadn't. They're just sitting there looking pretty, and I'm not using them. But in all honesty, I don't really feel the need to buy that much, since I CT for some serious awesomeness. They keep me in gorgeousness. I really only shop 2 people regularly, and a few random here and there. I did, however, shop at SSD designs for the first time today. I got some of Traci Reed's stitching. I'm not real sure why I've never shopped there before, cute stuff. I was browsing through the challenges. That's going to have to wait, though, seeing as how I own the 1 SSD item, LOL! Maybe when pay day rolls around again....

OMG, does anyone realize what happens on Tuesday?? My Collectors Twilight Blu-Ray ships!!!!! Hooray! I can't wait to get it and all the goodies! Which reminds me....the stupid battery in the watch I got with the DVD from Hastings is SO dead. Wow. That lasted a whole month. Since I didn't make the wolverine movie with my boys Friday night, the girls and I hung out here and watched Twilight. It seriously tickles me E knows most of the words(I swear she's only seen it less than a handful of times!) Al finally caught the tv in the hospital--it just floored her that it was showing Bella's "memories" about the whole thing. And I fell in love with Emmett again. *Swoon*

Which brings us to New Moon.
Let's start with this....WTH??(totally watch it full screen, hit the little blue arrows)

The Bella Motorcycle Mystery (Twilight New Moon) from VancityAllie on Vimeo.

Ok, like I said, WTH? Bella only rides motorcycles with Jake--who's this dude? I'm assuming maybe instead of just "seeing'" Edward when she walks up to the guys in Port Angeles, she just hops on a bike and takes off to do it, but jeez. But I'm ok, I'm ok(I keep telling myself that anyway) from everything else I've seen, this is playing close to the book.

I really don't have much else. Cute little photos from filming popping up everywhere, adorable interviews with people(I am still SO jazzed about Tinsel Korey--I think she's perfect for this) So yeah, I suck for Twilight news today :P

Hmm....what have I scrapped lately? Anyone want to see?(and if you click on them it's the full sized version, they're so tiny in the actual post)

This is the first non-CT LO I've done in a while. It's not that I set out to only do CT LO's. When I'm scrapping, I tend to use my favorite stuff. It helps that I also happen to CT for a majority of my favorites....so my non-CT LO's usually end up being CT LO's by accident.

And with that, I call it a night. It's 2am, and I've got to get Alee up and ready for school in 4 hours(and I'm sure the other two will just be bouncing off the wall because their daddy will be home and that just kills my little 45 minute nap I get every morning between kicking Alee out the door and the other 2 getting up)......so I'm going to lay here, watch Family Guy, plug my ipod into my head and wait for sleep to come!

*mwah*

geeked out Saturday!

It was so gorgeous today! Sunny and hot, you know I was in heaven!! It was our usual Saturday lunch at Mamaw's. We ate and all immediately hit the yard for the rest of the day. I think the fresh air kept us from all killing each other. It was close a few times, but we just walked away for a little while until the nerves settled. ;o)

My honey and I were geeked out today, he was in Naruto, I was in Death Note :P

I'm just jazzed I have a decent photo of the two of us. Neither one of us ever likes the photos we're in, so to actually get one we're both saying 'not the bad' about is a big deal :P

Ooooh, I have to show you this kit of Monica's. O.M.G. I love it!! here's the kit--Urban Life(this is the collection that has the bonus papers and alpha in it--seriously, it's the only way to go!)

and the layout I did with it(I've had this sitting there for a couple weeks-when the Studio FEMNZ April Grab bag came out(that's where the box is from)-I just couldn't get anything to work right with it. And then Monica dropped this kit on me!

I'm not usually one for extractions anymore(I'm just too lazy these days), but I knew what I wanted to do when I saw that box. I'm pretty pleased with it, especially since it's finally finished :P

Tomorrow is going to be another gorgeous day, and we're planning on spending the day out in the yard--Brandy's grilling out-YUMMERS!!

Think I'll go catch a few Death Note episodes before bed time :D
